Update Assembly features to individual parts.

I was wondering if there is a way to 'push' features and additions in an assembly to the corresponding parts. I started using a multi-body part and exported to an assembly where I'm looking to further configure and specialize my parts to suit my design and I find it easier to work in an assembly than to try and make every part within a multi-body part so I'm wondering if there was a way to update my parts in the .ipt files from the assembly.

Thank you,

You can edit your parts within the context of the assembly

or

if you are on subscription get the add-in to push assembly features to parts.

This same question was posted here yesterday.

JDMather,

editing parts within an assembly does not seem to include updates in the
original multibody part from which the assembly was generated, only the
stand-alone part files, is that correct?

Like it has been mentioned, you are best if you like working in the assembly mode to edit the parts in the assembly instead of adding assembly features.

There is no way where you currently are to push the features added in the assembly down to the parts.

Something else you might want to take a look at is derived parts.  Depending on your design intent.

I don't know if the app has disappeared but I was actually having trouble for whatever reason with the coolOrange FeatureManager yesterday.

My impression is that you wanted to add features after the multi-body was pushed out that would only occur in the Derived Components.
If you want to edit the multi-body in context of other parts in an assembly - you will of course, have to add the multi-body file to the assembly.
