Update all Snapshots in IPN Presentation Drawing

In the past I used to create multiple exploded IPN files to get different snapshot for publishing.

Now for the first time I used multiple storyboards in a single file to create a number of snapshots.

When there is a change, all the snapshots need to be updated but that is not the issue.

This issue is that they all have to be updated one at a time.

Is there a hidden method to update all without having to do it individually?

Hi Tom,

I am sorry I am speaking based on my corrupted memory. I think the Task Scheduler's Update Design should do the job. Set up an Update Design task and point to the folders that contain the files. Inventor will take care of the rest.

Many thanks!

I tell many that "I hate going by memory, it frequently gets me in trouble"

But, I think you misunderstand. It is not files that need updating, it is all the snapshot views in the presentation file that needs to be updated if the model changes.
The two images attached shows all the snapshots before and after a change to the model.

Hi Tom,

I am sorry that my memory is indeed corrupted. I just tried the Task Scheduler with a Update Design task. But it does not help update the Snapshot. It looks like a limitation. I am not aware of an automated approach, since iLogic does not support ipn files.

Many thanks!

I have been told that there is no resolution for this lack of functionality.

Have you tried asking the Autodesk Assistant to do it for you?
