Unhandled Exception upon Startup

I am running Windows 7 x64

Inventor 2015

 

Whenever the program is started I get the loading splash page then it fails with the error window.  If I go into Programs and do a repair, and start the program again I get the EULA then the same thing happens again.

 

The error doesn't seem to give me a lot of information.  I have probably 100 machines at our district and we have steadily been getting more reports of this issue.

Let me check this out.  The .NET thing seem a more pressing thing to me on the outset.  We should of had this updated, would explain why on some are having this issue.

Come to find out a lot of updates were not being deployed via SCCM.  I took over from another guy with SCCM so I have been trying to learn as I go.  I thought all updates were processing but clearly they weren't.

 

I am forcing the updates to run today so hopefully we can see some different results tomorrow.

Travis,

 

Please let us know whether or not you are still experiencing the startup crash after you get the updates applied to the systems.

I have been getting a lot of registration issues on these as well.

 

Can you verify my S/N and see if there is an issue with it?

Travis,

 

Serial numbers are tracked in a different system which we developers don't normally have access to.  My best suggestion would be for you to go to http://www.autodesk.com/education/support to get assistance with your serial number questions.
