Unable to select geometry to mirror

Hello, I am trying to create a rather simple trough but cannot select a geometry to mirror. I reviewed similar asks and the conclusions arrived at did not work for me. For example, selecting the correct sketch. I really tried every which way to get it to work. I am new to Inventor, so perhaps my construction of my object is poor and hence why I cannot mirror now. I'd like the trough to be 60" total in length. Thanks for any help.

You should mention what version of Inventor you are using (especially when not the latest release).

Your Sketch1 is not fully defined and far more complicated than needed.

How would this be manufactured in the real world?  I would expect to see sheet metal bends.

I think you are looking for Mirror Feature (Body), not Mirror Sketch.

Thank you for this feedback. I will be sure to include version of Inventor in future.

I am not sure if this design will be my final, but is decently representative of a prototype I created from styrofoam. My goal is to just include some 3d depictions of my prototype for a paper on vertical farming. I don't intend to manufacture.

I do agree that I should use the body mirror feature. However, I was unsuccessful in this and resorted to mirror sketch. Thank you as well for the examples you've provided.
