Unable to put dimensions on Section View

I just downloaded IV 2020 and now if I create a section view that is not directly on the model, I am unable to add any dimensions. I cannot select any lines/features. I can however put dimensions on hidden lines of holes and their centerlines, but that's it.

Hi! Right-click on the base view -> General Dimension type. Is it set to True to Projected. Try selecting Projected.

If it still does not work, please share the files here. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

All the views were already set to Projected, I tried True and still didn’t work. Attached are the files.

I turned on "Raster View" and was able to get dims. When I turned off Raster View they were still there. So at least I have an easy workaround. The ipt in the drawing is a multi-body solid (3 total), I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Hi! The behavior sounds defective to me. I guess there are geometry issues. Open the part file and press Ctrl+F7. Is there any bad body reported? If there are bad bodies, you will need to run through Repair Bodies workflow to fix up the geometry

Please share the files here. Forum experts can help take a look to understand the issue better.

Many thanks!

First thing I would do is install the latest Update for 2020.

(I didn't check - Update 4.3 might not even be the latest.)
