Unable to Balloon some parts - Tube & Pipe

Also dealing with this issue with Inventor 2025, particularly with geometry that originated in Tube & Pipe (hoses etc). In the screenshot below, I'm not able to balloon the red hose, and can only balloon the center line of the dark blue hose (not the tangent edges). Not even sure why the tangent lines are visible sometimes and not others, the hoses are assemblies containing part files that are driven from a T&P assembly. All assemblies have normal BOM structure (not reference or phantom etc), they all show up on the parts list on the drawing. Changing display options on the view to allow "interference edges" doesn't fix anything. I can't balloon the hose on it's parent view either.  Really annoying! I also hate having to 'fake' things with balloons that will make it difficult for other users to update the drawing.

Hi! The behavior does not look right to me. If possible, please share the T&P files in zip here or send it to me directly at [email protected]. I would like to understand the ballooning behavior better.

Many thanks!

Hi rmcdougallLXU26,

is the drawing view normal to the hose? I haven’t used tubes, mainly route pipework.  When i experience an issue like yours, it’s because the elbow was at a slight angle and therefore not true to the drawing view.

Regards,
Graeme

Just sent you a link to a pack and go zipped file - thanks. @gcooper79 the tubes are not normal to the drawing views, that's not really a practical option (and other tubes that are not normal to the views are able to be ballooned).

After some much appreciated back and forth over email with @johnsonshiue , my issue remains - still can't balloon my hoses in only certain drawing views.  Johnson had me try toggling off "express mode" (Tools -> App Options -> Assembly), then try "rebuild all" from within the assembly environment, then re-load the drawing - no changes resulted. I'm open to other ideas or suggestions if anybody has any.

Possibly noteworthy is that the hose I'm trying balloon is actually a subassembly consisting of the hose part file and two crimp fittings. However, when I replace the hose subassembly with just the part file in the exact same location, I'm still not able to balloon the part file. This all works fine with other hoses modeled this way in most model views.
