Ultrawide monitors (and maybe curved)... good for Inventor?

I guess this is not strictly an Inventor question, but my current monitor has packed up and I'm in the market for a new one.

Prepared to spend a bit more this time but the question is how much and what?!

I have in the past spent up to about £150 but I realise I need to be looking more like in the £400 (minimum) to £700 (maximum for me) range.

I have heard some people really singing the praises of ultra wide monitors and curved ones at that too.

Is ultra wide and curved the way to go?

And if so size? 34" I have read is good(?).

I use Inventor but also AutoCAD a fair bit too.

Any user experience or general thoughts?

Would be most helpfull.

Thanks very much.

Oliver

I've got a guy in my group who uses 2 curved monitors (32") and he loves them.

I've yet to sit at his station for any length of time but I know others have and the curved monitor requests here have spiked.

Thanks for the contributions all.

I guess I'm just nervous about splashing out on one expensive ultra-wide monitor (nice as they appear to be) and then realising I still would quite like the option of having a second screen to organise my workflow.

I guess one option would be to have an ultra-wide as the main monitor + then a second monitor (I think 27" so same screen height approx as a 34" ultra-wide) as an ancillary monitor.

However this is probably out of my justifiable price range so maybe just getting 2 x 27" monitors (on a monitor arm stand) is the safer bet.

I guess these decisions are easier with a bigger budget but then such is life! Smiley Tongue

I have 2  LG Ultra and no issues ... On them all day.

Just think back for some of us old timers that were on 15 inch tube monitors'
