Tube and Pipe visibility in new representations

I have an assembly with Tube and Pipe runs. Some of these representations allow visibility of the pipe and others will only show the 3d sketches. Is there a visibility setting for individual representations?

Hi @rayMXYE4

What inventor version are you using? In Inventor 2021 and above the object visibility is always on but you can toggle the visibility from routes to objects in the browser. Enter the Tube And Pipe run and it's here. Also go into each run and it's also in the Pipe Run Tab.

Thanks. The Problem I was having was that in the tree I right clicked the route and then "visibility". The problem is that doesn't make the "route" visible. I needed to select each component within that route and make them visible. That doesn't seem right, but oh well, it finally worked.

Thanks for your help

What version are you using? Sometimes if the route goes into violation and back out the visibility of the fittings is switched off. Likely what you're seeing.

Thank you. I appreciate the info. I am a new user to Inventor. I have used most of the other major programs (NX, Catia, Solidworks...) As a new user I am curious about the phrase "Sometimes if the route goes into violation and back out the visibility of the fittings is switched off". What is meant by "goes into violation"?  Thanks.

Route violation means an edit has occurred that is not supported. Example a length of route too long for max length specified int he style, two route segmenrs with incorrect angle. The browser node of the route goes red and the objects associated with the route are made invisible. When you solve the route violation the objects become visible again.

A new issue. I moved to a new computer and pipe routing is working differently. I am assuming (hoping) that it is just a "setting" issue. I attached a jpeg. When I enter Tube and Pipe my assembly goes completely transparent and I can't pick anywhere to start the route. Any suggestions of what I can do.

It is likely your application options display settings. See this post here.
