I have created a 6" NB Sch. 40 pipe run and have added a 6" Flange via the "Place Fitting" button.
However i cant get it to sit on the correct position of the pipe. (slipped on)
Im also under the impression Inventor should trim back the pipe to allow for the fillet weld on the internal raised face side?

Have you tried to use "place" instead of "place fittings", that can solve your problem when installing the flange in the place you want, as I show you in the images.
