Tube & Pipe- Copying fittings between runs keeps connections but they become static and does not update.

While copying some fittings from one run to another the connections are maintained but are static and do not update. This seems to be an issue with copy and paste. Fittings are windowed and copied with the hope of preserving the connections. Instead the connections now need to be manually deleted and recreated. Is this intended behavior or a bug of some kind?  Obviously copy and paste and keep connections would be most peoples intended behavior but this seems to be not that.

Hi Alan.  Are you copying one fitting at a time and pasting into a different run, or copying sections of or an entire run and then pasting it?  Copying an individual fitting is, in my experience, never a good thing to do.  It can cause a wide variety of unforeseen problems.  It is better to use the Quick Place method of pre-selecting the fitting from the browser and then using "Place Fitting" to get a copy of the highlighted fitting.

For segments of a run, or an entire run that you want a copy of, these usually paste as non-adaptive.  Once pasted, you may have to use "Make Adaptive" to get it to work correctly.

Thanks for the response Chris. I was indeed copying groups of fittings and hoping the connections remain. Actually copying has gotten more stable over the time but I would think this would be an idea for time saving. Copying runs isn't really always the quickest route to go especially if you have copied another for reuse but need to make similar sub assemblies within the new run. Copying groups of fittings needs to be addressed perhaps in an idea post. 

Of course the main aim of copying groups and copying runs etc is to avoid the manual one by one connections that take a large amount of time.
