Trying to rename file via Design Assistant 2022 Not working

Hello all.
So as you can see from the SS below, I want to rename a couple of files from an assembly using Design Assistant, but its not letting me do anything in the action column. The files that are greyed out are the ones I cant rename! It never happened before, and its only happening now. 
I am on Inventor 2022.
Files are all Work in progress and I dont use Vault at all. 
What could be the issue here??

Click on "None" cell. You should get a cursor menu where you select the option you need.

Uhh, I know that of course. Thats how I always rename files, but now the right click context menu isnt opening at all, and for the files it is opening up, the option to rename is greyed out.

Did you get any sort of error message when you opened the assembly in Design Assistant?

It's very picky about everything being properly resolved. "But that stupid little bolt over there has nothing to do with what I am trying to work with!" Tough! Sometimes I just want to delete the parts it is complaining about - putting them back in a re-constraining everything is much less trouble than trying to figure out why Inventor thinks there is a problem with that part (and in the end, most of the time the only way to "resolve" the screwy parts was to delete them and reinsert them anyway).

It is hard to tell what's happening with the files. I thought - maybe their status was changed to "Read Only" in Windows Explorer file's property but a quick try didn't make any difference to the ability to rename the file in DA.

Perhaps non-migrated file(s) somewhere in this assembly?

Hi Sam,

That's it, I believe. I have opened an old assembly in DA and all non-migraited files were not available for editing.

I don't know how OP could overlook it. The warning message that files need to be migrated pops up straight away.

Hi! Yes, I believe this is due to unmigrated files. To persist name change, the affected files will be saved. And you will not be able to revert back the change. Please migrate the files first. Then all Design Assistant tasks will be available.

Yup everything is properly resolved and constrained so I am sure that wasnt the issue. 

I renamed each file manually by doing "Save and Replace" since design assistant wasnt helping. But I still need help with that since I am gonna be using that assembly alot for couple of other projects.

Nope, all files are migrated to the current Inventor version that I am using.

No, it isnt the migration issue, all files are migrated already. Still stuck at that.

Nope, it wasnt the migration issue, each and every file is migrated. I ran the task scheduler with migration task, just to be sure and tried again. Didnt work

Hi @obulesub . Sadly no, none of the solutions worked for me. 

I manually updated the file from within the Inventor environment,as DA wasnt letting me.

I still need help with that, since I will be using that same assembly for other projects, and hence will be needing to update the file names/part numbers for every new project.

This is just a hunch. And maybe a long shot (if indeed all your files are migrated, including content center files)
But can you try creating a new IPJ in which the workspace directory path is not too long?

And relocate the files there? Then try again in Design Assistant.

edit: if that is indeed the case, consider turning your folder (if that is some kind of DropBox or similar) into a drive letter to shorten the path.

iLogic Design Copy

Don't let the name scare you, I have no idea what it has to do with iLogic - you will not see or have to do anything involving iLogic to use it.

In Design Assistant I remember having to set the path and manually rename each file - iLogic Design Copy will add a prefix or suffix to everything automatically and put it all together where you tell it, and you can do all sorts of stuff that I haven't even tried yet.

@jnowel tried that too. The directory I workl from does indeed has a long path (working from google drive), so i figured that might be the issue, manually copied as well as pack and go the files to some local drive on my PC. Didnt work with either.

@dan_inv09 Oh yes ilogic design copy is another solution that I am looking at, but havent got time to try that, this does looks promising, expcept i dont want to add and prefix or suffix to my filename, so that might not be feasible for me.
