Trouble with object imports shadowing on other drawing sheets

Hey all!

Can anyone explain why this is happening. (see below) Been having a lot of trouble with my object imports shadowing on various sheets . Usually happens in the sheet above or below the sheet the import is in. Below is a shadow of an excel import for the BOM on the last page. This is my front page. You can't get rid of it short of deleting the import and import it again. It's been doing it with all my static image imports also. It seem to appear after I update the sheets. This is making me crazy with the rework. Please help.

Thanks

John

Hi! I assume you want the embedded object to stay in the background. Please right-click on the Embedded node the browser. There should be an option pushing it to the background.

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiue

I don't think I explained my problem very well. I created a table from an excel file on my last sheet(19) for the parts  BOM. The imported excel file now shows up on 3 different sheets(1, 5, 6) as a visual remnant, anomaly, or artifact. Glitch.  They are not supposed to be there on those sheets. You can't do anything with theses visual artifacts.  They are just there. I can make the embedded excel file visible on those sheets (see below left table). I can move and resize this table. The other is a glitch a bug or something.

John,

Part of me is thinking this is embedded into the sheet format, but then it would show up on all sheets not just these three.  I am thinking this is a format issue.

Are you seeing this same behavior in other drawings as well or just this one?

Did you inherit this issue or did you create this drawing?

My other thought is why are you importing an Excel spread sheet into the drawing as your BOM when the software already gives you an importable parts list that is parametric?

Hi! The behavior does not look right to me. If possible, please share the files here. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiue

Thanks for the replies. My company will not allow me to send out drawing sets of our equipment but I will try and reproduce the problem on a dummy set of drawings and put them up.

Thanks again

Hi all.

I did figure it out!!. For some reason when the table was created with the excel file it was also placed into my title block.  The file not the table. I don't know why.  And since it was in the title block why it wasn't showing on all sheets I don't know. I only have one title block resource so the drawing set wasn't a mix of titles. I deleted it out of my title block and it went away. Yeah!

Thanks

-John
