trouble making a flat pattern

I have been trying to make a flat pattern of item for some time now. i have tried contour Flange, extrusions and folding. but every time i hit a problem. either the flat panel doesn't come out flat or the contour Flange does not build all the way and gives an error. if anyone can point me in the right direction of what i am doing wrong.

Hi, I guess the problem is not in the construction of the sheet, I guess the problem is in the update of the sheet. To begin with I would try to convert to the dimension that I detail in red, in driven dimension.

Then I would add another dimension that specifies the height, like the next one I detail in red.

If your work does not improve, you should attach the particular case where the problem is presented, in order to analyze it. regards!

thank you so much. i don't know what part of what you said to do worked but it did. on that point can you make a flat pattern from and extrusion?

You should make some corrections to the sketch, in order to get the sheet flattening without problems, look at the video, there are some missing dimensions. regards!
