I would like to numerate the parts I`m making, but the text in InventorCAM won`t be traced as one line, but two. Is it possible to change this to eliminate unnecessary milling?

This created many unconnected lines, witch made it impossible to trace. How can I connect the line to one geometry?

Hi! If possible, please share an example here. There might be a solution (tweaking the DXF export option). But, it may or may not work for your case.

Many thanks!

I cant upload a photo it seems, but ill try to explain it.

When I use export to geometry (lets say my text says "007") the zeros are created with many small lines, instead of one whole circle.

The way id like to mark the parts (mill the text) is by using "trace" with a 60degree mill tool.

The many lines makes it way too much work for what its worth, but its something we use alot in our production.

sorry im bad at explaining

So what im basicly wondering is if its possible to make all the small lines one whole line, that takes only one machining operation insted of 20

Hi! It sounds like you don't want to replace the spline with polyline. Such control is only available in Flat Pattern Export workflow. Are you exporting a sketch or a flat pattern?

Many thanks!

Hi! Is this a sheet metal part and you are trying to export the flat pattern? If yes, you can turn off "Spline Replacement? option in DXF Export dialog in Flat Pattern.

Many thanks!
