Without going into too many details and with great heartache, I've decided to say goodbye to this account. The Elf is being buried today.

The Elf has simply had enough of the restrictions and hand slaps for using words or phrases that some may take offense to like the word that sounds like the Hoover "Dam" but with an extra letter at the end. Or for humorously defending myself from an insult and calling out the poster's hypocrisy. And then you aren't even given the chance to refute the ban.

I'm sure this post will be banned/blocked as well once reported or seen by the powers that be here.

Sorry, but this place has become impossible to deal with at times.

Autodesk, you have lost and will continue to lose more and more key people here unless you change course fast.

Oh I'll still be here now and then as needed, but not in this same form or manner, the Elf is done.

No more blog articles will be posted for Autodesk, they have lost that privilege in return.

I'll still post my Inventor Basics (and advanced) articles on my website and on my LinkedIn page

Not what I like to refer to, but seeing it's election day here in the States, I'm going to use one of the political tag lines of sorts when I say "Others can be lawless, while some of us have to be flawless".

This is a perfect example of such.

It's too bad, I enjoyed my time here, but I'm human, and I do not possess a listing of the seven dirty words we can't post. But a mere 2 strikes and I'm banned/have privileges taken away after more than 10 yrs of offering my help, troubleshooting the software, being a front line form of help and advice FOR FREE...

But I digress

Yeah, there needs to be other considerations taken into account. Or at least be able to defend yourself. Sounds like they're a bit too "ban happy".

LOL....now let's not get too crazy. I'm loopy, but not that loopy.

From here on out, I'll just a be general user of the software, I'll post questions and maybe some answers, but I will no longer spend hours troubleshooting their software for them.

Hoover "Dam" with an "n" at the end is too profane for some fee fees here.

Would be great if we were given a list of what's considered profanity, especially words that, at best might be considered "mildly profane". Seems way too subjective to me. That or someone is on a major power trip.

As the kids say "what ev". I'm done offering up my talents for free.

It's the fellow users here that will be hurt the most as these types of bans continue as us experts get driven away.

If it wasn't for johnson, this forum, and people like you, I would seriously direct my company to look at other software (I know someone high-up who makes the choices 😉). AD's support options are a joke for almost everything. This place is GOLD because of God-Hoover users like you. There's my vote for today...

Agreed, jeanchile.  I've learned more here about Inventor than anywhere else.  Can't put a price on the value of these forums.

Numerous people here, including Elf, have helped me in one way or another, which includes a limited, partial understanding of iLogic, which is rather challenging for half-wits like me.

It has been fun and productive learning from the experts here.

I'll easily tolerate "bad words", disagreements, and constructive criticisms as part of the process.  I'm neither sensitive nor worried about my fee-fees if it all comes to learning and being productive with Inventor.

Now if someone makes fun of my dog "Boney"....
