Title Block Not Centered (Inventor Pro 2020)

So I imported my company's custom title block from AutoCAD into Inventor and followed the normal steps for creating a new title block in a .idw, however it doesn't load onto the sheet centered, instead it is raised up and slightly left, leaving a gap at the bottom and clipping off the edge of the page. I tried editing the block definition and re-positioning it accordingly but this changed nothing. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi Garth,

This is a very interesting issue. In Inventor, Title Block and Border are two distinct objects. In your case, you combine the border lines and the title block together. As a result, it looks a bit odd.

Here is what you need to do. Right-click on FUSION-TB -> Edit Definition -> delete the border lines -> Finish. If you don't like the alignment, edit the title block again and adjust the relative position of the elements.

Many thanks!

I deleted the border and adjusted the position of the other title block objects within "edit definition". however no matter how I re-position them they come in onto the page in the exact same spot, which is not where I want it to be.

Hi! The reason why it is slightly offset from the sheet extent is to leave room for border. Do you want the title block to be right at the border? Wouldn't it be an issue in printing? The sheet is set to be B size. Is it correct? Were you using a custom sheet size?

Many thanks!

No, B is what it should be. The default title blocks always sit nicely with a small gap between it and the bottom edge of the page, but this one is all high and shifted left for some reason.

Hi! This is related to the default border. The default border for B size was pre-defined with the gaps. It looks like you were using a custom border before. You can simply create a new border and insert it to the sheet. Then the title block will always snap to the corner. Please take a look at attached file.

Many thanks!

Oh ok. I understand now, it snaps to the bottom corner of the border, so if I want it lower and more to the right I need to adjust the border accordingly. thank you very much for your guidance.
