I installed Coolorange.com for real thread modeler in my inventor and was installed successfully. The problem is still not shown in my inventor ribbon or coolorange logo.

It's shown in my files was installed already. ( see attachment)

Maybe the Cool-Orange's wiki page can help?

@Anonymous

It sounds like your add-ons are not registering properly...

1.  Exit Inventor.

2.  Select the WIndows Start button and type in the search field CMD (but do not hit an enter)

3.  When command prompt appears in the list, right mouse click on it and select run as administrator

4.  Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor <version>\Bin

5.  Type Inventor.exe /install

6.  Wait a few minutes

7.  Restart Inventor.

In your screenshot you can see that there is a "coolorange" tab.
The addin is not located on the "tools" tab.

Hi, anyone have a copy of Thread Modeler for Inventor 2016?  CoolOrange do not support anymore that version.

Thank's!

Hello @Anonymous you can contact support@coolorange.com and see if they will email it to you directly.

They might not be supporting it but would be interested to see if it still runs on 2016 regardless.

Have you tried downloading it and running on 2016? Is there a prompt that tells you it doesn't work?

Not sure if this works, i won't take any responsibility for this, but try the following:

1. Install the current Thread modeler addin
2. Go to "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\coolOrange_coolOrangethreadModeler.bundle\Contents"
3. Open "coolOrange.ThreadModeler.Inventor.addin" with a text editor (notepad)
4. Change the line "<SupportedSoftwareVersionGreaterThan>??..</SupportedSoftwareVersionGreaterThan>" to your required version number.
(i believe 2016 is "20")
5. save it and see if the addin loads...

Hi Niels, CoolOrange told me last week to put 19 at "SupportedSoftwareVersionGreaterThan", and it was not working, but I tried 16 this morning, and guest what?  It works!  ;o)

Thank's for the additional tip.
