Thread direction on a derived solid body is not respected in DWG hole note

I have noticed that if you change the thread direction of a feature in a normal part the hole note in a DWG is updated as expected but if the part is a derived solid body the hole note is not updated.  The derived part does not see the change in direction.  Just a heads up.

Hi Roger,

The behavior does not sound right I have to say. Is the part mirrored? If not, open the source part and go to Manage -> Rebuild All and then open the derived part to update. Does it work better now?

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Thanks for the advice but it seems to be a problem with the simplest part.  Unfortunately 'rebuild all' did not help.

For example,  create a cylinder and thread the outside.  Save the file.  Use  'Make Component' to derive out Solid1 and then place both the part and the derived solid in a DWG.  Use 'Hole and Thread' to dimension the threads on each part and then change the thread in the source part to LH.  Only the hole note of the standard part will update.  Rebuild all for either the source part or derived solid does not change anything.

Hi Roger,

I think it is a bug. I can reproduce it easily. Let me work with the project team to see what we can do.

Many thanks!
