The number of surfaces of my design.

I want to run a EM simulation using asymptotic analysis. I need to get the number of surfaces of my design. Can I know how I can find it using Inventor 2020?

Try pressing Ctrl + F7

Does that give you the info you need?

 

Give it some time if this is a large model...

Thank you for the reply. 

This can give the surface body. I got this for my design:

 

Total Bodies: 7308
Solid Bodies: 2436
Surf Bodies: 2436
Other Bodies: 2436
Checked Bodies: 224

 

But that is not the total number of surfaces. I tested it with a simple solid cube. I got this results.

Total Bodies: 0
Solid Bodies: 0
Surf Bodies: 0
Other Bodies: 0
Checked Bodies: 1

 

But the total number of surfaces should be 6 for solid cube. 

 

I really appreciate any help.

The EM Simulator (Wireless InSite) is using Ray tracing method. It has a limitation that we can not have more than 80K surfaces. So I want to check the number of surface before I calculated it using the EM Simulator (It is taking long time to calculate it).

 

I know you send some information about EMS. It looks like that EMS is using FEM. I am simulating 1720mmX1650mmX1220mm chamber for 26.5GHz to 40GHz frequency range. I think that is not possible for this software.

 

I really appreciate any help

In Inventor, a solid cube has six faces, no surfaces.  A surface cube still has six faces, but no solids.  Surfaces and solids are two different types of bodies that may be found in an Inventor model; both of them are made up of faces.

But this article was posted in 2012. Could I know How I can get the Check Design in Inventor 2020?
