Hi,

I have made a block with a simple text  in the Base component.

When I derive this block, only boundries from the text will be displayed in the new part. All other Sketches, Dimmension, Bodies etc will be displayed.

New part (mirrored)

I have tryed "many things", include no mirroring in order to deal with the problem but it still dosn't work!

Any suggestions ?

Hi! Unfortunately, it is a limitation in Derive workflow. Sketch Text is a special object. It is not derived along with the sketch. The only workaround is to create a solid extrusion based on the text in the source part. Then derive the solid body so that the text profile can be recreated in the derived part.

Many thanks!

Apart from what Johnson has suggested - you can convert a Sketch Text into a Sketch Geometry. Then it will be seen in a derived component. Here is a sample in IV2020 format.

Cheers,

Igor.
