Text box multiline

Hello,

Before upgrading to Inventor Pro 2023, i was able to create a sketch symbol with text  and when activating the ''Text Box'' icon, the text stayed in that box without going over the establish border and creating a multi-line text that would react to the borders being manipulated.

I dont know why but now, when creating the border and activating the ''Text Box'' icon, in the ''Format text window'', (see attach pic) the text conforms to the previously establish border but when i press ''Ok'' at the bottom, the text goes over the border in a single line text (single line text icon is not activated!).

(For the example below, i held down the ''a''  and the text conformed to the border previously establish by ''creating'' other lines.)

What i'm i missing here?

Hi! I could be wrong but I think you are talking about Inventor Drawing Text or AutoCAD MTEXT, not Sketch Text. The text command used in the Sketch Symbol workflow is Sketch Text, not Drawing Text. Its behavior has been consistent.

I dont know what is the name of that kind of text but i have  maybe 20 of those ''sketch symbols'' that i can insert on a .idw and some of them have the text that conforms to the ''text box'' and others just wont. Is there a check box or something that i dont see...

In Inventor 2023.4 I'm able to control line length by dimensioning the text box.  Text box can be set by right clicking on the sketch text (while editing the sketch) and selecting Text Box, or by editing the text itself and choosing the Text Box button in the Edit dialog.

There are no line feeds in this text, it just wraps from one line to the next as text is added.

I think you already know this, though, so I recommend to follow @johnsonshiue 's advice and attach your file here.

Hello,

Yes, i already know this and that is what i'm trying to understand; why is it working on some of my sketch symbol and not on others!

I tried to modified old ones, a few still conforms to the text box and some dont.  When i create new ones, they just dont.

I cant share the file because it belongs to the corporation i work for but, i'll see if i can recreate this problem in an empty template...
