Sweep Tangent to surface

Hi Guys!

I have this problem with the Sweep function: I have to do this muose and I want the body created with the sweep to be tangent to the top surface but this doesn't happen at the end of the line. I tried various methods (sweep with guide surface, etc ...) but the result doesn't change. Somebody can help me?

P.S. The ipt part is a half of the mouse base. The screenshot is a zoom of the problem. This is the first time I use inventor in a "professional" way, so any advise in welcome!

It may have something to do with the "flat" at the top of where the spine was tangent to the main body. Since that is not a "tangent" point? @johnsonshiue thoughts?

Here's a different way (Inventor 2022 format) to get what I understand you to be asking, but I'm not at all sure that it's what you really want!

I wonder if you'd get a better result by starting with surfaces, and then thickening to a solid when you've got the profile you want?

Hi! The reason why the Sweep twists is because the 3D path's normal vector isn't aligned with the intended direction. Typically, Guide Surface Sweep can help correct the course. However, the path isn't smooth. Guide Surface Sweep cannot be done.

Actually the simplest way is to use Lip command in Plastic Feature. It can create the geometry pretty easily without creating a profile and a path.

Many thanks!
