Hello together,

is there a way to import a svg file in a sketch? Today I convert the files to dxf and import them into the sketch.

Thank you

Georg

Hi Georg,

Unfortunately, Inventor sketch is not able to convert raster data to lines. You will need to use AutoCAD to convert it and then bring it to Inventor.

Many thanks!

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, which by definition are not raster.  They are vector.

I use SVG files frequently.

Attach example file here.

No you cannot import an SVG file directly into an Inventor part sketch.

You can use other tools to convert that to dxf or other format that Inventor is capable of importing.

Inkscape is a great tool for working with SVG files and can convert it to a dxf.

Why not? Fusion has been able to do it for a while now.
