Suppress Derived Part in iPart Configuration

So I have a bunch of .ipt files with spherical bearings with solid bodies. I want these inputted into my iPart. Different bearings for the different iPart configurations. I was going to do this my deriving the solid bodies in the iPart file and then suppress/ unsupressing them in the different configurations to get my desired part. However, I can't seem to figure hoe to do so.

Hi! I don't think iPart allows you to suppress the Derive feature. It is because an iPart member is actually a derive part to the factory part. There are two issues here. First, conceptually, an iPart factory should be a self-contained unit without any dependency on other component. The member definitions should be captured on the author table without any other dependency except for the factory. It is Ok to have an iPart factory based on a derive part but I don't think it is a recommended workflow.

Second, the only parameter associated with a derive feature is the scale factor. The only thing you can do on the table to control a derive feature is to change the scale, which is fairly limited.

To remove a body (or lump) geometry, you can use Delete Face command (Lump selection) to delete the lumps but the body node will stay. So geometry will be gone if you use Delete Face. You can use Delete Face feature to control whether or not the given geometry is present in a given iPart member.

Many thanks!
