Style Library Manager not working in Inventor 2026.2

I’m trying to migrate a 2025 Design Data folder to Inventor 2026.2. Multiple attempts and consistently fail with the same behavior. it didn't happen in 2026.1.

The Migrate button remains active (see picture bellow), and the arrows stay greyed out and can’t be used.

Reproducibility: same issue across several Inventor builds and multiple machines.

French version of Inventor.

Hi Nicolas,

The behavior does not sound right to me. If possible, please share the styles library you are trying to migrate with me directly at [email protected]. I would like to understand the issue better.

Many thanks!

Hello Johnson,

This is not specific to any particular style library. Regardless of which library you want to migrate, whether it comes from Inventor 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025, the behaviour remains the same. I also tried with the raw installation library for Inventor 2025, and the behaviour is the same.

Hi Johnson,
Nicolas Aichele is one of my colleagues so I also tried migrate some libraries with Inventor 2026.2 (french version).
The behaviour I have is not exactly the same.
On the picture below, the left side is a DesignData in 2024 that I want to migrate in 2026.
On the right side is the DesignData 2026 that I migrated months ago, before the 2026.2 update.
1 - I chose a copy of my 2024 DesignData
2 - Looks good after Migrate
3 - I have error when I click on "Norme"
4 - I closed the Manager, re-open it and click on "Norme". Now it looks good
5 - As the error was mentionning "ObjectDefaults" I clicked on it and I have differences with my previous 2026 styles
All other types are in black (not red as in "ObjectDefaults")

Hi Johan and Nicolas,

Based on Nicolas' latest findings, it seems that it is related to Language Pack install. I have suggested that he should uninstall Inventor 2026 completely. Download the 2026.2 full install and 2026.2 French Language Pack from manage.autodesk.com. Then install them accordingly.

Many thanks!

Try changing this value in StudioScene.xml ( second line of the file )

from

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<StudioScene Version="4">

to

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<StudioScene Version="3">

It didn’t work that way. I think the French version needs an update for that feature to work properly.
If you want, I can send you a Design Data folder that you can use for testing in a future patch in french version.

Hi Johnson

seeing the same behaviour here in the English version

2026.2

Hi Nicholas

Start Inventor and open a template

Go to styles library and write styles to styles library

This will prompt to migrate the styles

Once completed the styles are migrated. you can check styles library tool and migrate button will be greyed out

Hi Folks,

The issue was confirmed by the project team and it was reported as INVENG-88692. It has been fixed on our internal build targeting 2026.3 update. Please feel free to escalate it to Autodesk Product Support and demand a fix on 2026.2.x.

Many thanks!
