Hi All helpers,

I am using 2025 Inventor. I have bit of mixed font sizes and it shows up different on different drawings. I like to have them uniform. Please see attached screenshots. i know of styxlm, purge and update in manage tab. But it doesnt seem to work. I m missing a link in workflow here.

My first question is, where are they saved or stored.

Secondly, how can i have uniform font size, i like to have default mm for Assembly drawing (ref dim 1218) and YHMDS for parts drawing as they come up good and legible. The last image of default mm is coming small n not easily readable although page size is A1 and default style is mm ANSI but still it comes big on assembly but very small on part.

I want to have consistency.

Lastly, i have change of logo in default template but some drawings were created with old logo. How do i replace the logo of new template into old drawings created. See attached in zip file. I dont want to go into each drawing and replace logo. With regards to title block, only logo changes.

I have to submit drawing pack on Friday or next Monday. So i need to have consistency in fonts and title block.

In your drawing template, styles and standards editor, you can create all the text types you want in the text section. Then you can go and define what dimensions styles/leaders/etc use what text. Once you have it all set, then make sure to save that to your styles library. Make sure the project file "Use style library" is set to read-write so you can actually write to it. All other drawings then you should be able to use the "Update" Button in the styles panel and it will update all older drawings with what is in the styles library.

Hi @blandb,

YHMDS is my default styling, i saved. But i want to know if i can bring in to any template. This particular title block is converted from external title block. On my template, i usually have only YHMDS and i use A3 as default but this is A1.

In regards to projects, i only use default. I dont have much work to create separate projects. It was read only but now changed to read write.

Another thing i like to ask is, if you see styling default, my preferred setting is right at the bottom and i have to scroll down whole list. I only want 2 settings, default mm for Assembly drawings and YHMDS for part drawings. How do i achieve this?

When i right click on dimension 420 and choose edit dimension style i get my setting at bottom. How do i make it on the top so i dont scroll everytime ?

Where from this point ?

Please guide.

Regards,

Yash

Hi Yash,

I suspect there is some sort of style corruption (those styles with $ sign) in your drawing template or drawing file. I assume it was an AutoCAD dwg file converted to an Inventor dwg file. I would use AutoCAD RECOVER command to repair the dwg file. Then use PURGE command to remove any duplicate styles.

If it is still not working correctly, please share the files here or send them to me directly at [email protected]. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
