Straighten a scanned mesh part

I have a scanned part which I have made into a solid with any problems.  The issue I'm having is, the part that was scanned has flaws which need to be corrected.  The front of the part is warped and I need to flatten it out.  Any ideas?

@MikeMullins

At this point we only see words and we have no clue what this part or solid even looks like or how its modeled (its history)..

If you can share the file so we can review it and give you solutions..  In addition its always important to indicate the version of Inventor you're using.

Mark,

Thanks for getting back so soon.  I have to do a little research before I can post the model.  The company I work for has some strict ND policies.  for the record I'm using Inventor 2018.  I will get back to the forum after I make sure I'm violating any policies.

Hi! Unfortunately, Inventor has limited ability handling mesh at the moment. You will need to do it on Autodesk Mesh Mixer (free download at www.meshmixer.com).

Many thanks!
