I am trying to perform a Convergence test on a model to find a mesh size before Shape Generation, in my case I'm focusing on Displacement, but I am getting confused with the Stop Criteria function. According to the Description found on Autodesk, the Stop Criteria means
"Ceases refinement when the difference between the last two results is less than the specified (%) value. The value increment is 1. The refinement can cease when it reaches the maximum number of refinements, even if Stop Criteria is met."
When running the Simulation I'm setting the h Refinements as 5 and the Stop Criteria as 0.2% but for every Element, Size altered the following results were given:
| Average Element Size | Minimum Element Size | Nodes | Elements | Displacement Max | Displacement Min | Convergence Rate on Displacement | |
| 1 | 0.1 | 0.2 | 6932 | 4062 | 0.004014 | 0 | 0.019% |
| 2 | 0.0875 | 0.2 | 14577 | 9072 | 0.004005 | 0 | 0.027% |
| 3 | 0.075 | 0.2 | 19628 | 12423 | 0.004018 | 0 | 0.010% |
| 4 | 0.0625 | 0.2 | 27391 | 17621 | 0.00417 | 0 | 0.042% |
| 5 | 0.05 | 0.2 | 37801 | 24567 | 0.004016 | 0 | 0.008% |
| 6 | 0.0375 | 0.2 | 64253 | 42665 | 0.004036 | 0 | 0.188% |
| 7 | 0.0315 | 0.2 | 79348 | 52966 | 0.004026 | 0 | 0.005% |
| 8 | 0.031 | 0.2 | 79744 | 53499 | 0.004025 | 0 | 0.000% |
| 9 | 0.025 | 0.2 | 120435 | 81897 | 0.004028 | 0 | 0.000% |
| 10 | 0.0125 | 0.2 | 454763 | 319589 | 0.004031 | 0 | 0.000% |
| 11 | 0.00625 | 0.2 | 2104811 | 1510626 | 0.004031 | 0 | 0.000% |
Does this mean that the perfect mesh size is 0.0375 at 0.188% which is less than the value? Or is it 0.0315 which is the least of the value?
