STEP to IAM Converts but wont save

I got a .step file from the Cognex website that converts fine visually.  Seems that all the parts are there. But when I try to save it, Inventor is giving me an error message saying it can not create the folder.  Odd thing is I can see the folder creation in Windows Explorer. Im stumped on this one. Any help appreciated.

Hi @Matt.WestSU7H9 ,

The name of the STEP file contains a space character after the name of file and before the file extension.

DMA-CCM-1-US<space>.STEP

If you rename the file from

DMA-CCM-1-US .STEP to
DMA-CCM-1-US.STEP

it should work. We have seen this issue once before. I have to check to see if we can strip off the space before converting.

Thanks
