step file not opening and cant able to convert to iam or ipt

Hello,

I managed to open this flawlessly using Inventor 2024 with the latest updates installed. I just shortened the file name in terms of preparations.

 

Is it possible for you to post a screenshot of your STEP import dialoge´s parameters? Maybe it´s just that you´ve selected a wrong option. Also you might check if there are any restrictions in your project file directory that might prevent full read/ write access.

well that needs to be taken care of step by step. Catch up on project settings, even though this error will hardly keep anything from working. Choose the right or a different style library. It´s really something you just have to do.

Hi Srinivasan, I cannot reproduce this. I've also never seen that error message before.

What operation did you cancel in order to see that? It appears it had already imported the geometry?

Inventor 2025 opens without problems (default project).

Hi! The error or warning seems to indicate the import operation was aborted. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Also install 2024.3 update. After that, close Inventor and go to File Explorer -> %temp% -> clean up as many files as possible.

What option did you select "Converted" or "Referenced"? What is your machine spec?
