A cylindrical component is loaded equally (Total load=1300 lbs.) at two points on top as shown in the attached image. The stands are made of steel and can withstand the loads as determined from the FEA.
My question- Is there a way to determine the stability of the stands when the cylinder component is loaded? I would like to know if the stands stay static when loaded or in other words would they "tip" or 'move backwards' depending on the width of the base.
Little more details about the assembly: Sub-assembly 1 is inserted into sub-assly 2 and are bolted using a pin.
Any info is welcome. Thanks
