We you say "hub", I assume you are trying to create an involute spline on the inside of a hole?  Inventor will create either the external or both involute spline at the same time.  If you want one or the other separately, you need to turn the one you do not want off.  Give use a screencast of your process or at least some screen captures to define where the issue is occurring.

Hi thanks for your reply, this problem was solved but there is another issue and that is both splines have the same properties as shown in the screen shots but as it can be seen in the drawing screen shot ,they have complete different profiles and dimensions.

the shaft and Hub dimensions are as follows:

shaft    72x200 mm

Hub     140x50x72 mm

where am i going wrong?

thanks

You did everything correct in the use of the involute spline generator setup, the problem is in your hub model.  You did not supply your assembly so I can only guess that when you modeled your hub, you created a bore in it.  You do not do this because Inventor will cut the appropriate bore for you to fit the spline you configure.  Below is a screen capture of my beginning hub part.  You did not say what version of Inventor you are using but I attached a Pack and Go of my simple assembly in 2019 version if you can open it.  Also the Inventor "graphical" representation of this spline is generally not accurate for manufacture.  Make sure you create a report and have the spline cut from that information. I would even check those numbers!
