My system is acting slow, I don't know why. My system configuration :
Pentium 4 2.8GHz 533FSB
2GB memory
80GB HDD
128MB ATI graphic card
I am working with 2000+ parts, the files are located on the server side. I called the vendor regarding this problem, they have recommended me to upgrade the hardware to 3.0GHz with 4GB of memory.
My question is:
Is this necessary or software misconfiguration ?
Anyone with similar system configuration or problem, I would like to hear from you guys.

What does your network bandwidth consumption look like?
If you have twenty people trying to hit the same server for those 2000 parts
continuously, the network could be part of your problem.
Can you try pulling all the parts you need locally and see what happens to
performance?
Maybe you should work in semi-isolated mode?
What does your project file look like?
Do you have a thousand directories defined that Inventor needs to look
through to resolve parts?
Did you ever have good performance?
