Sketch Blocks and exported parameters

Hi everyone

Is it possible to turn off parameter export when deriving a sketch block into a new file.

I tried to remove the checkmarks before deriving, but somehow inventor turns them on again :-(. It dosnt make sense.

Is this intentional - a bug - or just me ?

Hi! I believe it is how it works. When you derive the sketch blocks, the source parameters driving the blocks still drive them. If you don't want such relationship, you can either copy&paste the sketch blocks or break the derive link.

Many thanks!

Hi

OK - got it.

Now I just have to get used to the tricky behaviour of the derived blocks. When editing a block (deleting a centerpoint) used to control drillings and then updating the part into which its derived - it wont update the block if ithas been used to drill holes 🙂

I think I will make a couple of test to see if its me or .....

Thanks
