Shift select multiple objects

Is it possible to disable shift select in order to select multiple objects in a sketch? AutoCAD has the option to turn this off so that multiple objects can be selected one at a time (not with a window selection) without holding shift, but I can't seem to find it in Inventor anywhere.

Hi, I don't realy think there is such an option in Inventor.

Anyway, you can try to ask here instead, as Inventor Customization deals with coding (Add-Ins, Macros, Rules), not customizing settings:

Hi edhess,

I can relate to you on this one, as I've been working in AutoCAD a bit more lately than I have in many years, and I keep holding Shift when I don't need to.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to change this in Inventor, but as you mentioned you can set AutoCAD to behave as Inventor does and maybe that will help a little, if you're bouncing back and forth.

And if you're having to do a great deal of this in Inventor you might be causing yourself too much work:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
