Sheetmetal Ipart assembly to flat pattern nesting

HI

I have just designed a sheetmetal box using multibody design techniques, exported the bodies to a component, created flat pattern within each component and then created the ipart.

On placing it into an assembly (without issues) I can change sizes to different configurations but then Im trying to nest those components of the box for manufacture as a flat pattern.

The nesting wont work.

Am I doing something wrong or is this unachievable.

Hi!

Well, your description is not very precise, but...

You cannot carry the iPart in nesting, must be the children files, not the parent (the multibody source).

Can you share the files, or at leat an image of the model + operations browser?

Hi Chris,

I believe you will need to nest the individual iPart member files, not the iPart factory file.

Many thanks!
