Hello all,
So I have a conundrum that I was hoping some kind soul could help me with. I have attached a couple files, a drawing and two IPT's.
Part2.ipt/idw is a sample of what I am looking for. This is part file.
Saddle Clamp.ipt is what I would like the final copy to be made from, this is a sheet metal part so I can get a flat pattern for cutting before we get it broke (braked? lol).
I drew up 'part2' just quick (messy sketch, I know!) so I could make the idw to show whomever said kind soul would like to have a look.
With saddle clamp.ipt, I cannot figure how to get my center arc the way I want it as shown in part2. This is just a saddle clamp and I am lienient on all sizes, but I couldnt come close. The size that might be more important would be the height from the base to the top of the rad (not dimensioned, sorry! but should be aprox 3-3/16").
As mentioned, I would appreciate any help. The sheet metal thing is still kinda new to me and I get a bit frusterated trying to stick things together. I also didnt know the inital start length of the part in the saddle clamp file, figure it could just be adjusted when the aprox finished profile is complete. I am not looking just to have some help, but maybe some helpful advise on how I can do this. I do have a few others to make as well so that would be awesome.
Tks all 🙂
