Sheet Metal multi body bend radius bug?

Sheet Metal multi body bend radius bug?

Anonymous

I am experiencing strange behavior on a sheet metal multi-body part. I have 2 faces that were both created as new solids with the same Sheet Metal Rule and each face has its own flange. One flange produces the correct bend radius (6mm) specific to the sheet metal rule. But the other flange uses the documents default bend radius. What's strange is that the dialog box shows 6mm but the physical model measures incorrectly.

Any ideas?

Hello,

It would be great to share the model for further investigation. Sounds like K factor setting is different for each rule.

Thanks!

@Xun.Zhang

I don't believe that is the problem as both solids use the same sheet metal rule.

I have attached the file for your reference.

Many thanks for your help

Hi @Anonymous,

You are correct, it was a bug. Fortunately, it was fixed in Inventor 2019.

Just open it in Inventor 2019 and click rebuild, then the result is correct.

Hope it helps!
