We are working on a part, trying to make a strip layout for a die design. I'm trying to figure out how to get the side to ben up so i can get a flat from it. the pink part (2577542x redraw 2) is the part we are working on. The silver part (2577542x 2) is the customer part we got sent. Is there a way to get the sides to bend up like shown (circled in the 3rd picture)?

That part has metal deformation which Inventor will not flatten.

Will only flatten sheet metal made with conventional machines. press brake etc.

There is software that will give you a flat pattern but do not know the names

So I won't be able to do both sides like show? I'm not worried other stuff.

Hi I have attached a part that uses the contour roll command which i think is the command you are after.

the part i attached contained a flat pattern.

So yes contour rolls will flatten.
