Set up a file number generato

I have tried to find a guide or solution for my question but I don´t know exactly what to search for.

I use Inventor 2016 Pro and everytime I save a new part, I want that file to get a unique file name. Like D*****, M**** or just *****. "Generate File Number"

Can I make this happen in Inventor? If, how do I do?

Are you working with Vault together? if so, it is a piece of cake and it was what Vault doing right now.

Another way more like iLogic driven prefix or suffix appending.

Sorry for late reply! No I do not use Vault. How do I use iLogic, driven or prefix or suffix appending? Any guide for this?

I save my files in the Windows browser, but every part needs to have their own part-/drawingnumber.
