Selection behavior when moving views has changed in 2018

I used to be able to select multiple views in my drawing and move then to a different sheet in IV 2017.

Now since upgrading to 2018 it seems I can only move multiple views at the same time if they are selected in the browser.

This is a pain, because the views will often have varying parents, and are not easily grabbed from the browser tree together.

See Screencast.

Hi Andrew,

This is a great catch! Indeed, it looks like the workflow no longer works. You have to drag and drop views within the browser. I am not certain if this is an intended change. Let me work with the project team to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

@andrewdroth

I have created a tracking page for this issue of being able to move multiple views to another sheet:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/article/The-selection-behavior-when-moving-views-has-changed-in-Invent...

The link is not live at he moment but should be in a few hours.

Have a great rest of your week.

This is still present in 2018.2.2.

Hi Andrew,

I have located the defect and looked at the status. The defect is indeed not fixed yet. The discussion indicates that there isn't a good solution for 2018. Unfortunately, the fix will have to be in new release. I am very sorry.

Many thanks!
