Section views with single part containing multiple solid bodies

I am searching for a solution for displaying color/textures when using a single part that contains multiple solid bodies.

Two instances that i am dealing with are as follows:

1 i-part with two members

The i-part when sectioned in a drawing shows all surfaces or solids as "generic" instead of the selected solid body color.

1 stand alone part.

The stand alone part when sectioned in a drawing shows the colors of each solid body with no problems.

It is my preference to have the colors shown in the section view regardless of if the part is a stand alone part or an i-part.

Is this possible or is this beyond the programs capability?

If something similar to this has been posted before i will gladly accept guidence to another post.

Another way to look at this may be: is there a way to default the section view in a drawing to display the body color/texture rather than the part color/texture? But keeping in mind if the part is a standard stand alone ipt there isnt an issue the section works perfectly. just a i-part section view changes to the part color/texture instead of the body color/texture.
