section views created do not correctly represent section cutting line in idw.  Any help is much appreciated.

Its hard to visualize your model/components since there's so many lines representing different types geometry.  Is this drawing based on an assembly or part file?  Can it be shared?  Inventor version too.

Hi Mark V,

Aside from a file specific defective behavior, there are three logical reasons behind it. 1) The hatch is hidden (right-click on the hatch -> Hide). 2) The default hatch is a solid color. 3) The hatch layer is turned off. If neither applies to you, please attach an example exhibiting the behavior.

@Mark.Valenti it appears that the arrow is pointing down but still including stuff from above. 

When looking at the part if there are bad bodies I've seen section errors like that before.

Assuming there are no view reps involved or hidden lines, try rebuild all on the assembly and make sure it's updated and not pulling old stuff. 

When you insert a different part does the section behavior persist?

Thank you all for assisting.  I created a simple frame generated assy with only 2 components ANSI tubing...  one piece vertical, one piece leaning. Then created the drawing with a section. Worked like a charm.... Went back into the assembly and added my custom extrusions... same effect as before, not a correct slice representation however the ansi tube showed correctly...

I went into the browser tree and right clicked the member that was showing incorrectly, Section Participation was defaulted to off..... bingo, problem solved..
