Section view problem when using with fillets.

When I add the fillets to the figure, it looks like the attached file. You can find before and after adding  fillets in the attachment. How can i fix that?

It appears you are not showing those inside fillets with the section view you are pulling off you would need to slice through the height of the part not through where you are cutting the view from.

Does this make sense to you?

Things don't add up here-- both images show the base view with a square feature in the web, which appears to be the recessed area shown in the After image section view, but does not show in the Before image section.  The part you posted does not include the recessed area.  In addition, the arrows on the section definition in the base view are pointing the wrong direction for the section view that is actually shown there, and do not intersect the hole.  But the hole is shown as sectioned.

So, I would like to see the part(s) and the drawing files that created the two images that you included.  There is probably a logical explanation for what you've described, but we can't diagnose it from what you've provided.

Update: I see now that the square feature is actually the section line.  So, I don't know where the recessed area shown in the After image's section view comes from, but I still maintain that there's a logical explanation.  Inventor doesn't just create geometry like that out of nowhere.

I shared it with the drawing file. If you look at final.jpg, I tried to different section method and the problem is solved. But I still don't understand why the section view wasn't right the first time.

I did not fully understand what you were trying to say, but when I did it as in the photo, the drawing came out as I wanted. Did you mean that?

OK, forget anything I wrote in my first response-- I just replicated your results, and the drawings are exactly correct.   If you turn on visibility of tangent lines in your base view, you will see that the section is through the base of the web fillets, so it appears that the web got thicker, but that's not the case.  I agree that it looks like something is wrong at first glance, but it's not.

Your latest drawing is much improved!  The purpose of a drawing is nothing more than communication, and if I, with 36 years of work with engineering drawings, could get as confused as I did looking at your first two images, then there was some room for improvement!

No doubt about it, this is a difficult part to clearly define in a simple drawing, but I think your latest is very clear.  A shaded isometric view would help, too.

Yes turning on and off tangent lines and/or using them foreshortened is a tweak to the View and everyone using Inventor drawings should be learning all of those tweaks since they can be so powerful!

Setting up an office standard and a template that has that office standard in mind is also a HUGE help for getting drawings done efficiently.
