The software complies with ASME Y14.3-2003 as per your diagram that says "CORRECT".

Is that all your looking for?

Windows 10 x64 -16GB Ram
Intel i7-6700 @ 3.41ghz
nVidia GTS 250 - 1 GB
Inventor Pro 2018

The arrows always flip so the view is always behind the arrows.  Sections are typically linear to the main view.  Meaning straight vertical or horizontal.  Views can have the alignment broken which means the view can be dragged anywhere on the drawing, but that would be non compliant if you are looking to follow ASME.

Hi! I believe this has something to do with 1st angle and 3rd angle projection. Please take a look at the following page to make the change from 1st angle to 3rd angle projection.

Is this what you were looking for?

Many thanks!

Basically

AMSE is 3rd Angle Projection you draw to the right-hand side of the object what you see from the right.

ISO is 1st Angle you draw what you see from the right to the left side of the object

The two pages below show the difference

1St Ang Orthographic Projection.png3rd Angle projection3rd Angle projection

You can change the 1st and 3rd Angle settings in Inventor by creating a new IDW then going into STYLE EDITOR,  at the very top of the editor under STANDARD select the style of demotion that you are using then the VIEW PREFERANCE tab in there SELECT the FIEST ANGLE setting. SAVE the changes close the style editor and the in the ribbon select save. The on file select SAVE AS TEMPLATE and either replace the existing default template or save as a new template. SE BELOW
