Section view Frame Generator

Hello there.

After upgrading to IV2018, it doesn't seem FG parts are following the rules of sectioning anymore.

See attached.

As you can see, I have both settings on view and application options, and yet I still have to right click and choose sectioning.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug in regards to this?

I have seen this yet (not saying it isn't a bug ) ... Can you share the data set ?

A little closer to a solution.

Since I cannot share the data set, I tried to reproduce it.

I couldn't reproduce it with DIN Angle Steel.

I could however Reproduce it with DIN IPE steel. See attached Pack'n'Go Zip

You need to copy the family over to your library and replace family template.

There are a lot of CC items set not to participate in assembly and section views.

@mdavis22569 - The issue is that you have to right click every time, despite all settings. I know you can right click and make it work, but it seems unnecessary when you set it on application options level.

@salariua - So that means a hell of a work to do that, I suppose? Thanks for responding and shedding some light on this.

@johnsonshiue - Could you forward this to your developers?
It appears that application options does indeed work in regards to section views in assemblies.
It doesn't work in regards to section views in drawings.

Despite the options enabled mentioned by Salariua, Mdavis22569 and me.

Edit:

I'll accept @salariua's answer as solution, since that does indeed make it work. I'm fairly certain it's a bug that Application Options doesn't overwrite that, though

@YannickEnrico

I thought I've seen an ilogic, VB code around which can change this so you can use something like code injector or propagate it down from a higher up assembly but I can't find it and I am beginning to think I was imagining it.

@salariua - I'll see how well I master my google search skills later on. For now, I'll have to use right click.

What's silly, though, is that I haven't experienced this in earlier versions.

Yes, if you hadn't checked off the application options option, it would happen. But after checking that, it stopped in earlier versions.
