Is there an add in for inventor which allows the section or view label shown in the attached image and also updates with the sheet number the view is on?

Thanks

@RJR89

On the view label of the section view itself, you can add a note that tells what page the Parent view is on.  Doesn't look like you can do this the other direction, which seems a bit odd to me.

Yes,  if you edit the view label by RCing on the label.

Type in a word to represent the sheet text then see below.

Is there a way to make the section line and marker in the style of the screenshot and have the label and sheet number associative?

If you are talking about what I show below, then yes.

Scott, on the Section Line side of things, where the symbol the OP is using will go, there is no option to place any other properties other than the View Name (A).  Only on the Section View side of it can you add the Parent View Location.  So the section view can tell where it is taken from, but the section arrows can't say where the section view went if moved to another page.  It should go both ways in my opinion, but maybe no one has ever asked for this yet?

Unless I'm missing something.

Chris, to your point in your previous posting.  I get what you are saying now.  Didn't realize that not ever having to have added properties nor having the need to before.   Trying to get clarity to see if that is what the OP is asking for.  I personally am not clear as to why this is needed if that is the case, but to each there own.  I just think it clutters up the drawing and makes it more confusing.

Is there any update on this topic (adding custom section markings and labelling including cross-reference to the sheet where the section went to)? I know you can add text to the label of the section with reference to the sheet where the section is indicated...

No additional functionality has been added to Inventor to improve what was posted here.

I have need of this functionality as well. I have been manually adding and managing these for both sections and detail callouts. Being human (my wife says the jury is still out on this...), I make the occasional mistake. So far I have been able to catch them before the drawings are released.

Has anyone found a "global" solution to this?

If Revit can do this.... Inventor should also.

This type of referencing, "detail number/sheet ref"  is a standard drafting tool.
