Save Parts List style with column formatting

I need to change the "standard" Parts List Style we have at our company to have the last column showing "MASS (kg)" with the units in the rows not showing the Unit String (not 1342.7 kg but just 1342.7)

as shown in the attached image 1.1.png

This is no problem to achieve as I can simply edit the parts list and then right click the column MASS and select format column.

In this window all required alterations can be done as shown above.

But my problem rises when I want to make another drawing with the same Parts List setup.

I can't seem to save this Partlist with the column formats as a Style to reuse it on other drawings.

Hopefully someone also encountered this and has a solution?

If so could you help me out in showing the steps I have to take to get there.

Thanks

Best regards,

Rodyoyo

Open up each of your drawing templates and go to the styles manager and setup this parts list there.  This way it will be in each of the new drawings you create moving forward.

Adding to @Cadmanto info..

You also want to define your parts list under the default styles info as well so it becomes the default parts list in your drawing template.

@CadmantoAND @Mark.Lancaster,

Thanks a lot for this helpful insight.

I did not recognize/see that the format settings could be altered in the matrix shown in your image Cadmanto but now this is clear to me.

Good adition Mark to add it in the defaults so it comes up first when placing a new partslist.

Problem solved!

Thanks guys

In addition, you only need to do this once!  Save the Parts List style and Object Defaults style created in one template to your styles library, then open the other templates and update from the styles library.  If you have more than one template, this will save you some tedious clicking.
