Save and Replace Component fails to update name in browser.

I like to use save and replace most of time to create new parts with existing parts. But, I don't know what happens to the software, New parts and assemblies created by save and replace command has the same occurrence name in model browser as the part which was used to create new part.

This type of Inventor's behavior  is new for me.

I am still wondering why this happens. If anybody have any idea, suggestion, solution. Please  share it with me.

Thanks in Advance........................

I have also attached a screenshot here for reference. Here we clearly see the name in model browser is different whereas part number and file name is same.

This problem is assembly specific.

With other assemblies it works fine

The part number & file name in the iProperties are separate fields. The part number can be a different to the file name. The part number is what will appear in the bill of materials. The file name can be changed by using 'saveas' or by R.Clicking the file name in the browser & editing as you would with a file in Windows.

part number, file name and occurrence name (name of a part/assembly) shown in a model browser are all different things. I know that.

But the problem is name in a model browser does not change after save and  replace with a new name.

File name gets updated, Part name also get updated. But name in a model browser still remains same.

I don't think manual editing should be req. to update model browser.

Any other suggestions.
