Same detail multiple times on a drawing

Just wondering how people handle using the same detail in multiple locations on a drawing.  As an example, a shaft drawing that has grind reliefs at shaft shoulders.  There may be multiple grind reliefs with different dimensions but each is used in multiple locations.

Currently I just define a detail view at each location and then for the duplicates I edit the detail text to reference the appropriate letter.  I then move the "extra" detail views off of the page so they don't print.  I thought about making a sketch symbol for the detail definition and inserting those at the "multiple" locations but with the possible need for changing the detail definition size, I thought that I would end up spending too much time editing sketch symbols to get them to look like I want.

@StuartKinzel the last place I worked we just called "(2 PL'S)" under the detail note without pointing to anything at the second instance all.

Maybe Define and Insert a Sketch Symbol

That you can define with a Prompted Entry along with a dashed circle

You would have to redo it every time but would be quick and easy to change without having to draw every time.

This would be easier than creating another view that you are hiding without doing any iLogic or API editing. There may be fancier ways, but in a pinch this is a quick workaround depending on how often you use it and if it will just get you into more trouble. This is how I created Datums, inspection bubbles, re-used features. Kinda cheating and dirty at times, but quick and easily repeatable. Hope this helps!
